Dell has always been recognized for producing solid laptops. Does the market for a fresh laptop some time ago, I did some research and discovered that this E6400 is really a machine that might serve me well. I thought this was strange, but thought it absolutely was only the way it absolutely was designed. After analyzing laptop computer some more, I noticed the right speaker grill a dent inside. It seemed just like a flat head screwdriver was deposit.
These were small things I could deal with for the moment, so I kept going about my company and my new laptop to be effective up. The same subject - the CTRL key was. After some troubleshooting, I discovered the touchpad was causing the challenge. Apparently there is really a feature around the touchpad to zoom in and out, which emulates pressing the CTRL and the + and - buttons. When my finger was around the left side of the touchpad, which will resulted in CTRL answer to enter, so I disabled the feature and all was well.
I thought, since laptops under warranty that I am a whole new keyboard and right speaker grill to obtain. At least Dell is a useful one about sending replacement parts. They came in the morning. The system remains unstable. I would constantly evaluate the Management Console Event Viewer logs to find out what might cause my problems. The DVD writer also was active and kept crashing my system so I ordered it from Dell. After a few builds and a brand new DVD drive, my system was finally being it ought to. So it took quite some time to get this computer running like it will have. Dell has developed a solid machine, my only complaint is the inability of Dell to get it right the first time .... the next time ... the 3rd time .... The Dell Latitude E6400 is a solid, well-built machine that appears and works great. The backlit keyboard can be a very nice touch as well as the fundamental (stock) screen is a useful one for everyday use. The keys on the laptop keyboard are resilient and comfortable to wear. There are 4 USB ports (two on the left and 2 on the best). One with the USB port doubles being an e-SATA port, that's nice! There can be a VGA port about the left, along with a display port on the back. The right from the machine has a fire wire port and a smart card port on the machine. The screen is sturdy and you have two face to face the laptop that can be a nice touch to open Solid. The touchpad is successful along with the buttons are really simple to push. I have the net cam option that is effective for interactive video. There is naturally a network port on the back along using the standard microphone and headphone jacks on the best. Overall this is really a great laptop and I would certainly recommend to others. Just tired when you invest in your machine and make certain everything works. Make sure there isn't any dents for the machine, because some newbie to the factory left him on the floor.
